Checklist: Who to contact when someone dies
This checklist gives many contacts for possible agencies and businesses that will need to be notified when someone dies. Because each individual case is unique, the list may not be complete. Also, the funeral home may have notified some of the government agencies on your behalf. Please consult with the funeral director so you can check off those agencies which have been notified by the funeral director. This list is not all inclusive as things and technology changes – please be aware that there might be other agencies that you have to contact/notify.
